Enjoy cool savings. Air conditioning can account for up to 40 percent of the electricity used by your business. But you can save on those costs with one of Wright-Hennepin’s Off-Peak air conditioning options.
With this program, your roof top units will be hooked up to a radio receiver that will cycle (turn on and off) the units only during times of peak demand. Separate units will be set to different cycles so there will always be at least one unit running and typically several.
You receive a $2 per ton (of cooling) credit on your electric bill during the months of June, July, and August.
A typical cycle would be 15 minutes on – 15 minutes off, only during peak periods, which usually happen on the hottest summer days in the late afternoon or early evening.
Cost to join: $0
Classic Off-Peak can save you up to 58 percent on your monthly water heating expenses. With Off-Peak water heating, your water is heated during certain times of the day, typically between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Hot water is stored so that you will have all the hot water you need, when you need it.
