Learn why LED bulbs are a great choice

Light emitting diode bulbs (LEDs or LED bulbs) are fast replacing incandescent bulbs. There are many reasons for this: WH LED light bulb

  • Savings: LED bulbs last much longer than incandescent bulbs. A standard incandescent bulb will last for a maximum of 1,500 hours while an LED bulb can last for up to 60,000 hours. This means you will need to change your bulbs less often, saving on the cost of bulbs.
  • Energy savings: LED bulbs consume only a fraction of the electricity that incandescent bulbs do, which will help reduce your energy bill and cut costs significantly over the long term.
  • Durability: LED bulbs are made from a solid material, making them much more durable than incandescent bulbs. Dropping an LED bulb by accident is not as big of a risk as it is with an incandescent bulb.
  • Environmental benefit: Due to lower power consumption, LEDs are better for the environment.

To help with the up-front cost of LEDs, WH is now offering $0-down 60 watt equivalent LED light bulbs. This allows you to pay for the bulbs over 36 months from the savings on your electric bill. You can also choose to buy the bulbs up-front if you prefer. In both cases, the charges will appear on your electric bill. In addition, you can choose the quantity of bulbs to meet your needs (minimum of 6).

To order LED bulbs, visit WH’s LED light bulb page or call a representative at (763) 477-3000. For additional home energy-savings tips, videos and resources visit WH's energy conservation page.
