Wright-Hennepin 2016 Pole Inspections Beginning in AugustFind out where Wright-Hennepin will be performing pole maintenance in 2016.

Each year, Wright-Hennepin (WH) performs pole maintenance, which begins with an inspection of all poles within a designated portion of WH’s service territory. The inspection is designed to identify poles that need maintenance or replacement due to age, storm damage or other causes. This proactive type of pole maintenance helps WH reduce emergency and unscheduled replacement costs and extend the service life of its poles.
Many variables affect the strength and serviceability of a pole including wood species, preservation methods, soil and climate conditions, insect and mechanical damage, and inspection methodology.
This year’s inspection will primarily occur in eastern Wright county and Greenfield as highlighted on the map below.
WH is utilizing Star Energy, a third-party contractor, to exercise the pole maintenance inspection program for 2016. They can be identified by vehicle markers and name badges.
