Plant-A-Tree Program Starts New Generation of Trees

Wright-Hennepin shows students how to plant a tree

In 1997, Wright-Hennepin’s (WH) electric service territory was struck by a severe storm that left many mature trees bowed and broken. Since that time, WH has donated  183,900 seedlings to local organizations through it's Plant-A-Tree program.

Creating a healthy environment for the local community

WH donates 15,000 tree seedlings every year to our community schools, churches, cities, regional and state parks, public works departments and more. These trees help reduce carbon dioxide in the environment, create habitats for wildlife and help to make the local area beautiful.

WH donates and helps plant tree seedlings throughout Wright and western Hennepin counties. If your organization would like to receive tree seedlings, send an email to marketing@whe.org or call 763-477-3113.
