Wright-Hennepin’s Off-Peak Air Conditioning Programs

Residential Classic Central Air Conditioning Program

  • Off-Peak rate = $.049/kWh
  • Program must be installed with a second metered Off-Peak program
  • Maximum load control up to 6 hours per day and up to 200 hours per cooling season
    • Summer control is 15 minutes ON, 15 minutes OFF
  • Furnace fan will continue to operate during an on peak period
  • Control is based on peak demand and or an outdoor temperature of 85° F or higher in Maple Grove, Minn.
  • Wright-Hennepin offers a rebate on central AC units:
    • 13 SEER = $50, 14 SEER = $50, 14.5 SEER = $100, 15 SEER = $150, 16 SEER = $200
    • Limited to one unit per service address
    • Central AC unit must be placed on an Off-Peak program to qualify for rebate
    • Central AC unit must be installed by a qualified contractor
    • Completed rebate forms provided by the contractors along with copy of customers invoice must be mailed to Wright-Hennepin to receive rebate.
    • Rebate dollars are limited and will be distributed on a first come/first serve basis.
  • Receive free Off-Peak meter package $400 value (meter socket, radio receiver and CT, if needed)

Cool Cash Air Conditioning Program

  • Receive 15 percent off general service electric usage during June, July and August. (200 kWh/month minimum usage)
  • Wright-Hennepin will pay up to $130 installation costs of load control device when installed by a WH Services authorized contractor
  • Maximum load control up to 6 hours per day and up to 200 hours per cooling season
    • Summer control is 15 minutes ON, 15 minutes OFF.
  • Furnace fan will continue to operate during an on peak period.
  • Control is based on outdoor temperature of 85° F or higher in Maple Grove, Minn. (GRE)
  • Wright-Hennepin offers a rebate on Central AC new or replacement units:
    • 13 SEER = $50, 14 SEER = $50, 14.5 SEER = $100, 15 SEER = $150, 16 SEER = $200
    • Limited to one unit per service address
