Dual Fuel Home Heating Program

Off-Peak rate = $.049/kWh
Load Management control
- Up to 400 hours maximum in a heating season
- Control can be up to a maximum of 12 hrs. with a minimum of a one hour restore time between control periods.
Wright-Hennepin requires adequate automatic back up heating to qualify for Off-Peak rate
Back up heat must be sized for the entire heating load.
Back up heating can be in the form of ETS room units, fossil fuel furnaces/boiler and fossil fuel fireplaces with thermostatic control.
Standby generators are recognized as a back up source, as long as they are adequately sized.
Receive free Off-Peak meter package $400 value (meter socket, radio receiver and CT, if needed)

Program includes three types of installations: central heating furnaces, room units or slab heating
Charging or heating times are generally 8 hours per night between 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Room unit heat storage systems qualify as a back up heating source for Dual Fuel heating.
