For students working on school projects related to energy, there are a number of resources to be found on the Internet. The following are just a few of our favorites:

If you are a 5th thru 9th grade teacher, Wright-Hennepin offers a special education program designed to assist in teaching about electricity. Get Charged! kits can be checked out from our Rockford office. This kit provides students with a real-world understanding of the power and purpose of electricity. The kit contains:

  • Poster for classroom use
  • Two videos: “Understanding Electricity” and “Touchstone Energy’s Our Story”
  • Interactive CD-ROM featuring electricity
  • Lesson plan: Get Power – The Cooperative Way
  • 10 student activity books
  • Electricity teacher’s resource guide
