Call Forwarding: Waiting for an important phone call, but need to go somewhere? Call forwarding allows you to redirect all calls to another telephone number.
How to activate Call Forwarding:
• Dial *72 from a touch-tone phone, or dial 1172 from a rotary phone.
• When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number you want your call forwarded to. The number may be a local, long distance or cellular number. Call Forwarding works with pagers as well.
• If the number you have dialed connects, and both parties stay on the line for at least five seconds, Call Forwarding will be activated for that number. If the number is busy, repeat the steps above. Some subscribers may instead hear one or two tones, which indicate Call Forwarding has been activated for the number.
• To verify Call Forwarding is in effect, dial *72 from a touch-tone phone or dial 1172 from a rotary phone. A busy signal or error announcement confirms that Call Forwarding is in effect.
How to deactivate Call Forwarding:
• Dial *73 from a touch-tone phone, or dial 1173 from a rotary phone.
• When you hear two quick tones followed by dial tone, calls are no longer forwarded to the number previously selected.
Measured service and long distance charges may apply for completed calls.
Call Waiting: Prevent missed calls with this feature that will beep you that a call is coming in even when you are on the phone. You can then easily switch between the two calls.
How to use call waiting:
• When you are on a call and hear a brief beep this means a second call is coming in.
• To end your existing call and answer the waiting call, hang up and then allow the telephone to ring and answer it.
• To put the existing caller on hold and answer the incoming call, depress and release the receiver button or flash button on your phone.
• To switch in-between two calls simply continue to depress and release the receiver button on your phone.
Caller ID: Lets you see who’s calling before you answer the phone.
How to use caller ID:
• Wait for the start of the second full ring on your phone set.
• The name and phone number of the calling party will appear on your display.
Cancel Call Waiting: This option allows you to cancel call waiting when you don’t want interruptions during important phone calls.
To cancel call waiting prior to making your call:
• Prior to making your call, push *70 on your phone (or dial 1171 on a rotary phone). You will hear three short tones followed by dial tone.
• Place your call.
• Call Waiting is automatically activated again once you hang up.
