Well insulated attics help keep heat inside your home in the winter and hot air out in the summer. You can increase the comfort of your home while reducing your heating and cooling needs by up to 10 percent by investing in proper insulation and sealing air leaks.

Should I insulate my home? The answer is probably "yes" if you:

• Have a home built prior to 1980 that has not been re-insulated. Only 20% of homes built before 1980 are well insulated.
• Are bothered by noise from outside—insulation muffles sound.
• You notice icicles and ice dams on your roof in the winter or if you notice less snow on your roof compared with neighboring homes.

How Wright-Hennepin can help:

If you think you may need insulation added to your home Wright-Hennepin's WH Response division can help with an insulation inspection for a nominal fee. If you need insulation installed, WH Response can help with that too, with low interest financing available to qualified members. Request more information...
