Committed to Educating Future Generations
Wright-Hennepin’s Local Schools Scholarship
Wright-Hennepin has awarded approximately $520,000 to high school seniors through a scholarship program that began in 1988. These scholarships are made possible thanks to donations from Wright-Hennepin’s non-electric diversified businesses. By funding the scholarships from profits, the investment in the program doesn’t affect members' electric rates.
Each year, Wright-Hennepin awards one scholarship to students at each of the following public schools: Annandale, Buffalo, Dassel-Cokato, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Grove, Maple Lake, Monticello, Orono, Osseo, Rockford, Rogers, St. Michael-Albertville, Watertown-Mayer and Wayzata. Wright-Hennepin also offers one "at-large" scholarship for students who attend private schools or schools that neighbor Wright-Hennepin's electric service territory.
The schools listed above have varying deadlines. For your specific school's deadline, check with your guidance counselor.
At-large applications can be sent to Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association, Attn: Amanda Finneman, P.O. Box 330, Rockford, MN 55373. In order to be considered, applications must be post marked by March 31, 2012.
