Recently, some WH members have seen solar panel company ads on social media fraudulently claiming they can get solar panels and a home battery with no upfront costs, and advertising an immediate 30% savings on electric bills.

Recently, some Wright-Hennepin (WH) members have seen solar panel company ads on social media fraudulently claiming they can get solar panels and a home battery with no upfront costs, and advertising an immediate 30% savings on electric bills.
WH reminds members to stay vigilant, and be wary of deals that sound too good to be true. If you’re ever in doubt, call our member services team at (763) 477-3000. If you see a social media ad for a solar company claiming to be associated with WH, you can report it as a misleading or fraudulent service.
WH employees will always have a company badge, and contractors will have a badge identifying them as a WH contractor. In many cases, members will also receive advance notification ahead of a WH employee or contractor visiting their home or area via phone call, letter, postcard, or email.
If you are interested in solar, you can contact our Engineering Team, or learn more about WH’s renewable energy programs, Solar Choice and Renewable Choice.
