With the stay-at-home order in place, it’s likely you and your family are spending more time indoors. As a result, your energy use may have increased. As a Wright-Hennepin (WH) member, you can track your energy use over time using a free online tool called MyMeter.

MyMeter offers you the ability to set an energy marker within your tracked energy use data. This marker allows you to easily look back to see how much more or less energy you used during a time period and understand how any changes made impact your energy usage.

This short video tutorial shows you how to set up an energy marker in MyMeter.

You can create more than one marker to help keep track of the changes. Select the date when you started to work from home and/or schools may have started online learning. Choose how to label the marker in the description box; some examples include COVID-19, work from home and online school. Click “Add Marker” and you’re good to go!

You’ll be able to look back and see how the new routines impacted your energy use with these markers.

You can learn more about MyMeter and how to use it on our blog and YouTube channel.
