Quick Cash Water Heating Program
The Quick Cash Water Heating Program is a simple way to earn monthly credits by heating water during off-peak hours. Install a large-capacity electric water heater with a mixing valve and let it heat water overnight when energy demand is lower, saving you up to $120 annually.
Benefits & Rebates
- $10 monthly bill credit (requires 300 kWh minimum general service usage)
- Rebate up to $1,250 for new installations
- Efficient, off-peak water heating schedule
How Does It Work?
Water heaters charge for overnight, Monday through Friday, when energy demand is at a minimum. A mixing valve is installed to blend cold and hot water, delivering the desired temperature at your faucet while maximizing the tank's capacity. Your water heater charges between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. (October–April) or 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. (May–September), with no control on weekends or holidays unless there's a system emergency.
Requirements
- 100-gallon electric water heater with mixing valve
- Minimum 300 kWh/month general service usage
- Outdoor installation of ESP demand management receiver required
- No recirculation systems allowed
- Cold water lines required for any humidifiers
