You can use the form below to request any of the following service options:

Start Service
Request electric service in your name when moving into a home or business already served by Wright-Hennepin.

Stop Service
Notify us when you are moving out or no longer need electric service at a location.

New Construction Service
Begin the application process for electric service at a new home, outbuilding, or business facility under construction.

Service Removal
Request removal of electric service or equipment when a structure is being demolished or no longer requires service.

Modify Service
Request changes to existing electric service, such as upgrades, relocations, or adjustments to meet new electrical needs.

Once your form is submitted, a Wright-Hennepin representative will review your request and contact you to confirm details and next steps.

Start or Stop Service Form

Is retirement of WH facilities needed?
The retirement of W-H facilities involves the decommissioning and removal of the electric infrastructure from the property, such as transformers, poles, wires and lights.

 

Instructions

Please continue to this form if you are moving into a home already served by Wright-Hennepin.

A $15 service set-up fee will be billed on your first bill for all new accounts. After you submit your request, a Member Services Representative will contact you to confirm and complete the process. You may also call (763) 477-3000 for assistance during regular business hours.

Identity verification is required to protect your personal information and comply with the Federal Trade Commission’s Red Flags Rule. 

When establishing a new electric account, Wright-Hennepin will require the primary applicants and co-applicants’ 9-digit social security number (SSN) to validate their identity. When validation is approved WH will keep the last 4 digits and may ask you to verify them when you call in. Should you choose not to verify with your SSN, another form of valid, government-issued photo identification (ID) must be faxed or presented in person at Wright-Hennepin headquarters in Rockford, MN and then a password will be established to verify identity when you call in.

Please continue to this form if you are starting electric service for a business location already served by Wright-Hennepin.

Business members may also be required to pay a deposit when applying for a new account. To have the deposit waived from the first bill, please contact WH.

Please continue to this form if you are moving and need to cancel electric service at a residential location.

After you submit the form, a Wright-Hennepin representative will follow up within two business days to confirm your request by email or phone call. If you do not receive confirmation, please call Member Services at (763) 477-3000 during regular business hours to ensure your request was received.

Instructions

Please continue to this form if you need to cancel electric service at a commercial location.

After you submit the form, a Wright-Hennepin representative will follow up within two business days to confirm your request by email or phone call. If you do not receive confirmation, please call Member Services at (763) 477-3000 during regular business hours to ensure your request was received.

 

Continue to Commercial & Industrial Stop Service Form

Instructions:

Please continue to this form if you need electric service installed at a building or location that does not currently have electric service. There will be a $15 service-processing charge for all new accounts.

Instructions:

Please continue to the form below if you need a new or updated electric service installed. If you prefer a paper copy, please download and complete the pdf form

Please be sure to fully complete the application and include all electrical load information to avoid delays in processing the application.

Instructions:

Please continue to the form below if you need to remove WH Facilities due to demolishing a meter structure or no longer needing WH Facilities on your property.

Once we receive your request, a WH Construction Services Representative will contact you to review and to set up an on-site meet with a WH Field Engineer.

Instructions

Please continue to the form below if you already have electric service at your location and would like to request a modification to your existing electric facilities. 

Service modifications consist of moving your service due to landscaping or adding a pool, moving your meter for an addition, converting your overhead line to underground, adding solar or similar instances. 

Once we receive your request, a WH Construction Services Representative will contact you to review and to set up an on-site meet with a WH Field Engineer.
